side doorThe Southshore Community Church had its humble beginnings during the trying depression years of the early thirties.  A small group of South Shore residents worshiping in Montreal saw the need for an evangelical church on the South Shore.  Following a period of time during which cottage meetings were held, the first Church Hall was built on the property of Mr. C. Comber on Murray Ave. The Church Started as “Greenfield Park Pentecostal Church”

This Chapel was dedicated on May 23, 1932.

In the early 40′s Sunday night services were held in the Old Town Hall and in 1943, a property located on Devonshire Road and Churchill Blvd. was purchased and renovated to serve as both church and parsonage.

In due course the corner lot of the present location was purchased and the basement Church erected in 1949.  The Sanctuary was dedicated in 1966.  The latest expansion was built to accommodate a growing number of worshipers, and was dedicated in 2001.  Our Sanctuary can accommodate almost to 500 people.
